Majestic trees stretching up around me
I love barren, veiny branches shedded of all their leaves
The buds and burst of green as leaves creep out and up covering the skeleton arms
I love the passing of time marked by the now gold, amber, red, pink leaves painting the sky
Roots that dig deep as they fight and claw to find their place
Arms of branches reaching out as if waiting for a hug- adjusting making due of the space provided without complaint
The trunk holding steady through fierce storms and wild winds
Refuge to any life form that seeks out support and comfort
Trees I love
