Bee & You Bee Throat Spray My newest go to cure for healing my sore throats. This throat spray cure is magic! As a single parent, and now a single parent juggling working full time from home while handling virtual learning, full time meal planning, prep and cleaning…well, my health is everything. Unfortunately, as my time becomes stretched to the max, my sleep quality declines, my stress levels rise, and then my health takes a hit.

One of the first signs of protest by body shows is the start of a sore throat. With this Bee & You throat spray, I can get rid of the soreness within two days. What is this throat spray, well it is made from a bee product, Propolis.

Propolis Raw Honey is a resin like product the bees collect from the leaves, stems and buds of plants. The bees use it to protect their hive from microorganisms (viruses, bacteria, fungus) that would harm it. Propolis has a HIGH ANTIOXIDANT capacity that is beneficial to fight off illness. It has properties known to be antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, antiulcer, and potentially anticancer.

Mushroom Supplements– I have added something new to my supplement intake, and it now includes a fermented mushroom complex. I have been a fan of Vitamin D, Zinc, Selenium, Magnesium and Fish Oils for many years, but only within the past couple of years have I discovered mushroom supplements like these pictured above. Upon taking them, I noticed an increase in energy, sicknesses I felt coming staved off, and a reduction in stress levels. I am not a medical professional and can only speak to my experiences, but I clearly notice a difference when I am taking certain supplements and when I am not.

Here is a list of reported health benefits from mushrooms:

  • Immune support
  • Full of antioxidants
  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Helps to manage blood sugar
  • Support brain health and cognition
  • Support the nervous system
  • Increase energy and stamina

Iron Supplements– As a NON red meat and pork eater, my iron levels have historically been low, so low that in high school, I was anemic. My low iron levels made me feel exhausted more often than I would have liked. Although I have taken multi-vitamins, iron is often not absorbed when taken with other vitamins and as a result, is not supporting your immune system as effectively. I found my favorite supplements – made by Natural Factors! These iron supplements are chewable making them incredibly easy to consume. They are also made with stevia, and not any nasty headache causing fake sugars or additives. It is surprising to see how many “healthy” vitamins on the market for women and children are FILLED with fake sugars and colors- yuck! I noticed a decrease in getting sick and boost in energy since I added these supplements to my diet.

ProBiotics– These are an absolute must for me. As a regular eater of yogurt, I stopped taking probiotic supplements for quite some time, but I noticed an increase in fatigue, anxiety and trouble digesting foods. There was one month in particular where my stomach was SO ROUND, and stayed round, that my son thought I was carrying a baby! It made me feel sick, uncomfortable and just not like myself. After adding pee pollen, iron, vitamin d, apple cider vinegar and increasing my water intake, I was searching for answers…my answer was Probiotics. These in particular are organic, vegetarian and gluten free. Probiotics are known to help your digestive system by providing healthy bacteria to fight off the nasty illness causing bacteria. There is also a link between gut bacteria and mental health. Studies have shown a link between taking probiotics and decreased stress, anxiety, depression and fatigue. One of my personal favorite is Garden Life Probiotics below- you decide for yourself!

  1. Good stuff. I definitely try to take a magnesium-zinc-D3 combo at least a few times a week. No experience with the mushroom supplements yet..heard good things though.

  2. I make sure to take a Magnesium-zinc-D3 combo a few times a week…not really much experience with the mushroom supplements but have heard good things. As for immunity I also try to have ginger and garlic around!

    1. I just added a new collagen powder to my coffee and that is helping me with energy now as well.
