Unbelievably fall is upon us, and I can’t say that it’s easy to accept the year flew by as quickly as it did. What I do know, is that Fall is my favorite season for fashion. It is the best time of the year to mix summer and winter looks for the perfect combination of comfort and effortlessness.
Here are 3 of my Favorite Fall Fashion Trends:
Layers- Whether it be with a vest, jacket, scarf, blouse, coat or blazer, now is the time to add some some personality to your outfit by incorporating mixes of fabrics and styles.
Pair a slim cotton or knit dress with a sleeveless vest and belt. Another option is to layer slim jeans with a blouse and open coat.
Pencil Jean Skirts- A jean skirt is a wardrobe staple and classic go to look for the modern woman. I have a new love for the jean pencil skirt. I love the versality to take the look from work to weekend, day to night. For an evening out, a slim top tucked in or crop top will work to accentuate your waist. This works for women of all sizes- you can never go wrong giving yourself a defined waist.
Dresses with Sneakers- Whether it be a short or long, tight or loose, a dress with sneakers is the must have look for the modern woman. When I traveled to Europe (pre-covid), one thing that struck me was the amount of women wearing sneakers. They looked chic and fashionable, not not like they were headed to the gym. I also loved sneakers, but had grown accustomed to wearing heels and wedges everywhere for both work and weekends. My next option being in Florida so long, was flip flops. As a mom and woman on the go, this grew to be uncomfortable and did not work with my new lifestyle. Not to mention I was over the flip flop sound, breaking and look of them. Now sneakers with a dress is one of my go to looks.
