Favorite Netflix Show of the week- Designated Survivor
I typically hate T.V. dramas that are supposed to mirror real life, yet instead come across as painfully fake and anything but like real life (C.S.I. or E.R. type programs). If I am going to escape into another world, I prefer it be truly like another world with lots of mystery, fantasy or lots of action – think Vikings or Game of Thrones. If not that, then a smart comedy usually is a win- The Office. For real life depictions, fact-based shows like Forensic Files are the best vs dramatic E.R.s or “real” reality T.V.
With all the chaos of 2020, Designated Survivor seemed like something to check out to see how things compared to life right now. I was surprised to find I loved the show! With the actors, the script, the story lines and right mix of reality-based plots, the show didn’t seem so outlandish considering what has been happening in our world now. The series is made up 3 Seasons with a cliff hanger ending making me hope they find a way for a 4th season. With the program starring Kiefer Sutherland with a well-rounded, talented cast and action filled episodes, the show will keep you engaged right up until the suspenseful ending. Must see!
