One of the BEST places to visit in Atlanta during the fall is the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. With Covid hitting us in 2020, outdoor and family friendly activities are more important than ever. Atlanta Botanical Gardens current feature attraction is an Alice in Wonderland theme. For the fall, they decorate with a huge assortment of scarecrows and pumpkins that transform the park for their “Scarecrows in the Garden! This is perfect for all ages allowing you the chance to get outside, get some exercise with your self-guided walking tour of the garden, and see all the beautiful Fall and Halloween themed displays. My little one and I had a blast seeing the all the different scarecrow ideas, and the displays were amazing! We were inspired to try and come up with our own scarecrow ideas to create.

A ticket (on average) is $22 a person, and free for 2yrs and younger. There is one restaurant onsite and an additional snack shack. The restaurant is centrally located and too not far from the front entrance. It is a pretty set up with outdoor seating, but the quality and selection of food is average despite the appearance. Prices for food and drinks are not cheap at either option, so expect to spend another $25-$30 a person depending on if you order drinks or not. For parking- there is a garage that charges an additional fee separate from your ticket. If you are a local within walking distance, head to Piedmont park and you will be able to walk up to Atlanta Botanical Gardens without paying for parking (and bonus- additional exercise). Certain days in the Fall feature a beer fest and Halloween themed kid activities. Here is a snapshot of our rainy day Scarecrows in the Garden adventure-
